Purple Loosestrife produces tapering spikes of purple-red flowers from June to August and dark green willow-like leaves. It is knows as an excellent gargle and wound cleanser and helps to rapidly stop wounds from bleeding.
This flower is typically found in bogey/wet locations such as along river banks and ponds, in ditches and wet marshes as damp conditions are needed to help grow.
